Training Materials Developed to Empower Coaches and Educators in Talent Recognition

As part of the TALENT Erasmus+ Sport project, comprehensive training materials have been developed to support teachers and sports coaches in recognizing and nurturing talented children. These materials, grounded in the project’s evidence-based methodology, serve as a cornerstone for building inclusive, supportive, and sustainable environments for young talents in both educational and sports settings.

Structured across four core modules, the training covers essential themes including talent identification, inclusive learning environments, teamwork, and practical strategies for dual-career support. Each module combines theoretical insight with real-life case studies and hands-on exercises to ensure relevance and usability.

These materials were piloted through a 30-hour training programme conducted in all partner countries—Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Greece, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina—with over 150 teachers and coaches participating. The feedback from participants highlighted the importance of interactive learning, local adaptation of content, and continued professional development.

The training materials will now be fully integrated into the TALENT E-STOP platform and will serve as the foundation for ongoing capacity-building initiatives. By equipping professionals with the right tools and knowledge, the project strengthens local systems for talent support and ensures a long-term impact on the development of dual careers across Europe.
