On June 3–4, 2024, partners of the Erasmus+ Sport project TALENT gathered in Nicosia, Cyprus, for a transnational project meeting hosted by CSI. The focus of the meeting was the finalization of key project components and preparations for the pilot implementation of the training modules.
The consortium reviewed the finalized User Guidelines for the E-STOP platform, which will go live by the end of June 2024. Partners agreed on translation timelines, the upload of good practices, and outreach to national sports federations and service providers.
Significant progress was made on Work Package 4, with partners finalizing the content and design of the educational modules for teachers and coaches. The pilot training—set to run until November 2024—will reach at least 24 participants per country. Evaluation tools and implementation guidelines were also presented, and a common structure for the training programme was adopted.
In terms of dissemination, partners discussed upcoming content for the website, newsletters, and a series of short and long-form testimonial videos highlighting athletes’ journeys in talent development and dual careers.
Looking ahead, the final meeting of the project will be held in Sarajevo in April 2025, with an international conference planned as part of the closing event.
The meeting reaffirmed the consortium’s commitment to developing a sustainable, evidence-based framework for talent identification and support in sport, and to ensuring the successful delivery of the TALENT project’s final phase.
