Practical Recommendations Published for Coaches, Parents, Teachers, Sports Clubs and Decision Makers

As part of the Erasmus+ Sport project TALENT, the consortium has published five concise and user-friendly booklets of recommendations aimed at key stakeholders involved in the development of talented children in sport: coaches, parents, teachers, sports clubs, and decision makers.

Each booklet provides tailored, evidence-based guidance on how to identify, support, and nurture young talent, while addressing the specific challenges of managing dual careers, academic demands, and emotional well-being. The recommendations promote collaboration between schools, families, and sports environments to prevent dropout and ensure a balanced development path for young athletes.

📘 The topics covered include:
– Supporting dual-career pathways through flexible training and education;
– Effective communication and cooperation between parents, teachers, and coaches;
– Early talent identification strategies and inclusive coaching practices;
– Policy-level measures for sustainable support structures;
– Creating safe, supportive, and motivational environments for all children, regardless of their background or ability.

These materials are available in English and partner languages and can be downloaded freely from the TALENT platform:
